Australian Labor Party – The New Political Fidayeen Squad

I don’t know whether to celebrate or mourn. The Labor party is heading towards disaster and it seems it has decided to take all of us with it. In India, Pakistan and Middle Eastern countries, the term “fidayeen squads” is quite well known. In short, Fidayeen squads are similar to suicide bombers with the only difference being that instead of blowing themselves straight away; they usually try to stay alive as long as can thereby causing
maximum damage before they are taken down by security forces. The attack on Mumbai on 26^th November ‘2008 is one such example of Fidayeen attack.

I believe this concept has now taken off in Political circles too. In 2007, when John Howard realized that there was no way he could take coalition back to another term of government, he decided to carry out a “political Fidayeen attack” by bringing WorkChoices. It was a major piece of reform for Howard but everyone knew it was going to be fatal. Once Howard knew that there was no way his party was going to be re-elected, he had no option but to continue with WorkChoices. The idea is that if you are going down then make most of it.

Today, Julia Gillard and Labor party are in the same predicament. There is no way on earth they can win the next election and so it seems that Labor decided that it will carry out all the radical reforms that it tried to hide for years. Labor is about to commit another “political fidayeen attack”.

We have already seen things like Plain packaging and Carbon Tax that have further reduced Labor’s chances of getting re-elected. Now, one after another state Labor conferences are passing motions to legalize gay marriage. All this is being done to put pressure on National Labor conference that will take place at the end of the year. NSW ALP which is already in tatters from recent State Election defeat is the last major Labor body left to show its support for same sex marriage. Its only matter of time before it too will follow suit.

Once that happens, Labor with the help of extremist greens will put a bill for Gay marriage next year and it is quite possible that this time next year, we will have gays and lesbians getting married like other heterosexual couples.

If that happens then Labor will be completely wiped out but nonetheless it will be able to implement some of the radical things it believes but doesn’t publicly accept due to voter backlash.

This is a crucial time for all Australians; whether individuals or businesses as in coming weeks and months, Labor might potentially carry out some of the most unpopular and undesirable legislation. If you voted Labor last time, then you have a right to feel angry now!

Thanks everyone who supported me. I obviously did not win (you'd have known otherwise) nor did I ever claim that I was going to win. I always said that "winning is hard but not impossible". The fact of the matter is that there was a Liberal Wave that swept through the whole NSW and especially in Sydney.

Everyone is giving their reasons for this wave. Labor is saying it is because of their infighting. Tony Abbott is saying because of Carbon Tax. I spoke to some winning Liberal candidates ( called them to congratulate as a courtesy) and they are all claiming its because of them. So yeh, we might never know what created swings like 20-30% but end result is what we knew all along. Liberals are in and Labor is DEAD! R.I.P NSW Labor

As far as my own career is concerned I have following to say. While I'm disappointed that I could not get the result I wanted. I was hoping to get between 5-10% of primary vote and a much closer Labor-Liberal fight thereby making the seat marginal. I think marginal seats are good seats because it means major parties have to work their back side off to win unlike safe Labor seats which Labor always takes for granted. I did not get that and that is the only thing I'm disappointed about.

I will now re-think my political strategies and work on Local issues so that If I ever decide to run again I will be better prepared.

All the very best to all the winners! Special mention to Mr. Charles Casuscelli as he is now my local State MP. I've assured him support as I believe that he should be allowed to have a go. If he does well I will thank him but if he ends up on same rotten Labor Path then I will criticize him. I think that is fair.

In coming days, weeks and months I will continue to talk with Strathfield residents and do whatever I can to help them. I will continue to engage with media and local political parties be it Liberals, Labor or Greens as they still have councillors, Federal and State MP's in this area. In the end I want best for Strathfield residents and I will never abandon them.

There have been media reports that suggests that an Independent Indian background Candidate by name of Mr. Ashok Kumar is contesting Toongabbie with the backing of a Sydney Cardiologist Dr. Yadu Singh. Dr. Singh has confirmed in his comments to Herald that " he has political aspirations but denied he was attempting to use the fight in Toongabbie to win favour with the Liberals and shore up his prospects."

Dr. Yadu Singh is also President and architect of an organisation called "Council of Indian Australians Inc".

In light of above revelations, Independent Strathfield Candidate Mark Sharma has decided to clarify his position on the above matter.

1.) Mark Sharma is NOT associated with Ashok Kumar, Dr. Yadu Singh or any other members of CIA as listed on their website or anybody else directly or indirectly related to them in any capacity.

2.) Mark Sharma is NOT responsible for the actions of above mentioned whether those actions are cultural, political, legal, illegal, ethical or unethical.

3.) Mark Sharma can confirm that in December 2010, a series of meetings took place at the house of present CIA Public Officer Mr. Subba Rao Varigonda where it was explicitly decided that CIA or CIA members will NOT be seen as favoring any political party and a pledge would be taken in this regard. These details are still listed on the CIA Website.

This is precisely why Mark Sharma, a well known and long term Independent Politician from Strathfield, NSW decided to help them at that time as he was told explicitly that CIA would not turn into a political organisation

Mark Sharma can confirm that Mr. Ashok Kumar was part of all these meetings and has been an integral part of CIA from day of its creation. Mark Sharma can also confirm that Mr. Ashok Kumar was asked to sell CIA tickets for the CIA dinner which was held on 28th January 2011 at Blacktown.

Dear Strathfield Voters,

I know a large number of you read my online blog "The Voice of Strathfield" and I'd like to thank you for all the support you have given me over the years. I contested the Federal Watson constituency as an Independent just so that our area and country Australia can get better Services and become even stronger then what it is today.

I'm now contesting State seat of Strathfield for the upcoming NSW March State Election. Once again I will be contesting this seat as an Independent even though I've been offered to contest by various parties. Since July of Last year, I've been able to connect with thousands of everyday NSW residents through my various websites, my articles in various newspapers, through walking the streets of Strathfield Area, by email, by social networking and much more.

I've heard you all and I'm now acting on it. If elected, I will fulfill my promise of high quality roads for Strathfield residents. I will make sure there are more train services running through Strathfield electorate. I will clean up our councils and fight corruption. I will get a Police Station right opposite Strathfield Train Station. I will demand the repealing of draconian planning Act 3A and I will protect jobs by stopping Carbon Tax and WorkChoices. These are not just promises but these are issues that affect me personally.

Another thing that I strongly oppose is the privatization of Electricity which MUST BE STOPPED NOW. Unfortunately, none of the big parties whether it is Labor, Liberals or for that matter Greens have done anything positive for our electorate. Why? Because they are NOT interested in helping you. They are only interested in helping those who donate to them which includes Greens who have been regularly funded by Unions and Lobby Groups.

I've never got even 1 cent in donation from anyone and my view on donations is that either they should be banned all together or else this "drama" that Labor and Greens played in December 2010 should be dumped for good.

I've mentioned some important issues above which I'm passionate about and I will implement them no matter what. People who know me well know that If I say something, I do it or else I don't say it.

It is widely expected that Writs will be issued tomorrow and so this will be my last Political post here until election night i.e 26th March 2011. By the time most of you will read this post the following news report would already be out:-

Currying favour: Premier turns to minorities in marginal seats

HUNDREDS of thousands of taxpayer dollars are being poured into awards for ethnic communities prominent in seats being contested by some of the government's most senior MPs, including the Labor leader in waiting, John Robertson.

The awards, costing $300,000 and created in the past three months, are being handed out by the Premier, Kristina Keneally, to members of the Indian, Lebanese, Vietnamese and Filipino communities at official ceremonies held at Government House.

But their proximity to the election raises questions about whether Labor is using public funds and resources, including the Community Relations Commission, which is administering the awards, to shore up its campaign in western Sydney.

At the moment, this report is on Front page of Sydney Morning Herald Website and I've a feeling that it might or might not make headlines in the morning print edition.

What I'm going to say next might upset some people (including some who are good friends of mine) but I guess truth needs to be told. I leaked this story to Herald. They then did their own investigation and decided to publish it after realizing that it was a valid issue and should be brought to public's attention!

Are the winners of these awards worthy of it?

While I can't comment on other communities ( lack of my knowledge on the background of other winners) but certainly the "Indian Winners" of these awards have done decent amount of work. It includes a Newspaper Owner who has created a big reputation in large Indian Community present here in Australia, a businessman who has been involved in quite a few community initiatives and some other professionals who have achieved laurels in their chosen field.

So why did I leak it to the Press?

Genuineness of recipients is just one question in this saga. The most important question is the intent of Labor Government. I've always maintained that Labor has always ignored immigrants and provided superficial measures like few grants, speeches praising immigrants and a photo op with Labor Ministers or MP's. In the case of Indian community, Female Labor leaders like Kristina Keneally, Virginia Judge and others have started wearing Sarees (Indian dress) so that instead of concentrating on REAL issues of Hospitals, Roads, Transport and Traffic; Ethnic media can concentrate on "the colour of Labor Minister's Indian dress"

Put simply, we are sick and tired of pork barreling. We don't Want Virginia Judge in a Saree, We Want Representation!

These are genuine grievances of all immigrant communities of Sydney and I'm not afraid to air them in Public. I've been doing it for over 3 years and will continue the struggle until major parties start treating us immigrants like normal citizens!

Other Issues

These Awards can be best described as a desperate bribe to secure Immigrant votes but what Labor doesn't realize is that it will never work. At the end of the day, we all know the current state of NSW and there is NO way on Earth we will sell ourselves to Labor in return for an Award that has been distributed like confetti. This cheap attempt by NSW Labor Party shows that Labor has no respect for Immigrants. Let me just say loud and clear to Ms Keneally and her faceless men at Sussex Street: WE ARE NOT FOOLS!

If my leaking of this story has hurt any Award winner then I'd like to apologize for it but I want reassure that it was NOT a story about doubting your credentials but about Labor's attitude towards ethnic minorities!

Work longer and cut immigration: Labor MP

A LABOR backbencher says Australia should curb its population growth by slashing the immigration intake - including skilled migration - and abolishing middle-class welfare measures that encourage people to have children.

In his submission to the government's inquiry into population, the Victorian MP Kelvin Thomson says Australia can sustain an ageing population by increasing the productivity of its present population, especially older people, rather than importing migrants and workers.

He also calls for an end to the baby bonus, the large family supplement and family tax benefit A for third and later children. The combined $3 billion in annual savings should be used for building the skills and qualifications of young people and abolishing HECS, he says.
Mr Thomson backs the government's intention to reform the welfare system, especially the disability support pension, to ensure those who are able to work, do so.

VoS COMMENT:- Some of you might be confused with the above words thinking that it is probably from Scott Morrison or Senator Cory Bernardi or some other right wing Liberal MP but the fact of the matter is that all this is coming straight from Labor Party. A party which is controlled by union Thugs that hate Immigrants.

Its an open secret that in Australia, Liberals get support from Small Business owners and Labor gets most of its resources from Unions. Now, Labor continues to claim that they "truly" care about Immigrants and Multiculturalism. The truth is far from it. Unions don't like immigrants at all as most Immigrants (especially from Asia) are hard working. They come to Australia, learn about the systems quickly and end up competing with other non-immigrant Australians for jobs. This is a good thing because it means Australia's productivity goes up. More competition is always good.

But union backed Labor thugs HATE this. They don't want Immigrants competing for jobs where they can easily extort free salaries by using their Union muscle. In effect, Unions are destroying Australia's productivity and that in turn damages our economy.

Now, to cover their RACIST behaviour, Greens-Labor-Unions have come up with a brilliant idea. The idea is called "refugee advocacy". Refugees only make small number of all immigrants and once they are here most of them end up working for one of the above mentioned organisations or their affiliates for years.

A perfect example is happening right in my electorate of Strathfield. Tamil Refugees from Sri Lanka have been coming to Australia to seek asylum for many years. They had to come Australia as the situation back home ( fight between Tamil Rebels and Sri Lankan Government) had made their life in living hell. But the reality is that these people have now been turned into political slaves for Labor and Greens.

If Labor or Greens want then they can make sure that at least 1 person of Sri Lankan Tamil background can become a MP in either Federal or State lower houses. Yet it will never happen.These same Sri Lankan Tamil Refugees work tirelessly for the Labor-Greens masters in Strathfield and other areas with high ethnic numbers. They give out "how to votes", man polling booths, write articles in the favor of candidates from these parties etc.

In all, it is a free lifetime political workforce for both Labor and Greens. But despite that neither Labor nor Greens really care about them. All that Tamils get in return is broken promises after promises, few photographs and some publicity stunts. Tamils are NOT the only group being exploited by Labor and Greens. There are hundreds more examples. The time has come for these and other minorities to start asking for their political rights and teach these organisations a lesson for deceiving and mistreating them for years!

Until we defeat Labor-Greens Nexus completely, the issue of Racism will never go away. I'm also not surprised that studies prove that Strathfield is considered most racist place in the country. It has to be..afterall there is Labor everywhere here!

"Strathfield turning into a paradise for criminals"

A GROUP of teenage girls travelling in a Mercedes Benz has been charged after hijacking another car and street racing each other, before leading police on a chase throughout a Sydney suburb, the Daily Telegraph reports.

Police said the girls, aged 15, 16, 17 and 18, pulled up beside a man sitting in his car in Strathfield in Sydney's west, about 9.30pm last night, and asked him for directions.

As the man was helping the girls, one of them allegedly assaulted him, then demanded he get out of his car.

“He sustained a laceration to his arm before he fled his car fearing for his safety,” a police spokesman said.

Two of the girls jumped into the man’s Toyota Camry, while the other two got back into the Mercedes.

But the question is...Can Virginia Judge be trusted? The same website where Ms. Virginia Judge is begging voters to trust her also has some rather dodgy material which frankly seems very unethical.

Brett of Croydon Park". Now, check out another testimonial which reads word to word same as "R. Brett of Croydon Park's. Already there is a question whether "R. Brett of Croydon Park" is part of Virginia Judge's staff as her whole website has been authorised by "Robert Brett of Croydon Park".

But what is interesting is that somehow "R. Brett's nonsensical comment about Virginia Judge door-knocking 33,000 homes is repeated word to word by "Mr. J Krebs of Strathfield".

I have no idea who "Mr. J Krebs" is but it is interesting to note that a candidate from Labor Party recently contested Strathfield Council By-election in October 2010 and his name was Mr. John Krebs of Strathfield.

Strathfield Poll Results : Labor Predicted to Lose Strathfield

The results from a private poll commissioned by Independent Candidate Mark Sharma predicts a Labor defeat in Strathfield. The results are consistent with some of the other polls that have taken in last few weeks and have predicted a large scale uniform swing against Labor. While no poll can accurately predict any result, nonetheless this small private poll in Strathfield reflects the growing resentment against the Labor government. It is widely tipped that Labor will lose its majority and Strathfield could just be a part of it.

Broken roads, unreliable transport, chronic corruption and rise in crime are some of the reasons that are being blamed for the predicted Labor defeat in upcoming March State Elections

Last night a woman was bashed and thrown out of her Mercedes during an attempted carjacking in a secured parking lot in Strathfield. "This is just another example of rising crime in Strathfield. I believe that the fact there is no proper Police Station in Strathfield has made the criminals even more bolder in their pursuit. This is exactly why I'm relentlessly campaigning for a full-fledged Police Station in the middle of Strathfield" he said

Crime has been rising in Strathfield like a wild fire and the recent statistics are a testimony to this fact. You are four times more likely to be robbed in Strathfield then rest of NSW

"Until we have a proper Police Station and increased Police presence, the crime rates would keep going up. CCTV cameras can't replace men and women in blue uniforms. We need more police. Plain and simple" he added.

Carjacking attempt in parking lot

Police were called to the underground carpark on Churchill Av, Strathfield, about 11.30pm, following reports to NSW Ambulance a woman had been grabbed from inside her Mercedes and beaten with a gun repeatedly to the back of the head and face.

The male offender then allegedly tried to drive the car out of the carpark but was unable to activate the security door and fled the scene to a waiting car empty-handed.

It would be fair to say that all alert Strathfieldsiders should be well aware of controversial ex Strathfield councillor Danny Lim. If you are not one of them, then read here for more information. Controversies are never far from Danny Lim. In July last year, Danny Lim resigned from Strathfield Council forcing a byelection that was eventually won by Liberal candidate Helen Mclucas. Since 2008, Lim has been ferociously campaigning against Labor MP Virginia Judge. He even put forth a proposal at Strathfield Council for Council to buy a dildo for Strathfield Labor MP Virginia Judge so that she can "Screw Herself instead of Strathfield residents". This changed for little while as Liberal Councilor Tony Maroun became Mayor of Strathfield. Since Maroun took over mayoralty, Danny has had quite a few run-ins with Maroun. Readers of VoS would remember about this incident when Danny Lim organised a crowd to protest against the Council in December last year.

16 years of Labor has ruined Strathfield & NSW

It doesn't look like Danny has forgiven Maroun but at the same time he also doesn't want Virginia to get away easily. It seems like Danny Lim has decided to come back and take on Labor's Virginia Judge and Liberal's Charles Casuscelli. He told VoS that he is most likely going to run for upcoming State Elections.

"If I run, I can finish Virginia" ( Virginia Judge's political career) remarked Danny.
" You know what, I don't like Virginia Judge but Liberals have selected that f**kwit Casuscelli leaving not much chance. He (Casuscelli) doesn't even live in Strathfield and even (many) Liberals are angry about it" said Danny Lim.

Say NO to Virginia Judge in Strathfield!

When asked whether he would support Independent Conservative Mark Sharma, Danny didn't give a proper answer. In all likelihood Danny Lim will run for Strathfield making the race even more interesting.

On one side we have Labor's Virginia Judge who is struggling to hold onto 15% margin, then there is Liberal's Charles Casuscelli who parachuted into Strathfield from nowhere, then there are the Greens-their most visible candidate Christine Donayre has already withdrawn from the race leaving them no chance at all. Finally, there is yours truly Mark Sharma who has campaigned tirelessly for 4 years in this area. Now, if Danny Lim was to join this race then not only the ballot paper would get longer but it will deeply hurt the likes of Labor, Liberals and Greens. It is also expected that smaller parties like CDP and Family First might also put their token candidates to increase their vote for Upper House seats.

Whether Danny will run for Strathfield is anybody's guess but one thing is for sure; Nobody should take Strathfield for granted!

What can I say...Virginia Judge is a gift that keeps on giving. Few months ago I received a Political Propaganda "Newsletter" from Virginia Judge which mentioned her new website virginiajudge.com

I was curious to find out what new rubbish Ms. Judge was going to distribute through internet after already clogging our letter boxes with self-serving nonsense. But I was disappointed as Virginia Judge's website was still down with a "Happy Christmas and New Year" sign on front page and a promise of launch soon.

Someone called "Mr R. Brett of Croydon Park" says :-

It made news when Virginia Judge doorknocked all 33,000 households in our electorate since entering political life. She's also held over 200 street meetings for the resolution of community issues. Virginia Judge has honoured my vote; i want to see her re-elected!

Who is Mr. R. Brett? Why is he imagining things? No wonder he wants Virginia re-elected!

33,000 Households?? Really? When did that happen? Which paper, website or source carried that news? If Ms. Judge really doorknocked 33,000 households then she should be given a medal or something, shouldn't she?

But hang on....this gets more interesting....If you scroll down to her website you get another pleasant surprise :) Guess who is authorising Ms. Virginia Judge's website? It's none other than Mr. Robert Brett of Croydon Park!!!

Why is Mr. Robert Brett of Croydon Park authorising the website? Can YOU trust Virginia?

ahem ahem! Most of these political "authorisations" that I've seen in my brief political career are usually done by Candidates, party officials or close associates of the candidates. I've been campaigning for a full fledged Police Station for over 4 years. Strathfield Labor MP Virginia Judge promised last State Election that she will get us a full fledged Police Station right in Strathfield. Ms Judge has failed to keep her promise. A new report in Strathfield Scene indicated just that.

The fact of the matter is that Crime is rising like a wild fire in Strathfield. We are four times more likely to be robbed then state average. In Burwood, retail crime is at its peak. Gun Crime, Drugs related crime is through the roof. In August 2010, when I was campaigning for Federal Seat of Watson, A junkie approached me on the road as he wanted to sell drugs to me. This was in broad day light when I was standing on the side of the road waving my cutout to passing motorists. I was so shocked by this incident that for a moment I did not know what to say or do. On other occasions I've reported to Burwood Police about a gang of suspected thieves who sell stolen goods to unsuspecting shoppers in Burwood Plaza. Details of these incidents are already with Burwood Police, Burwood Council and Burwood Plaza Management.

Politician Buys up Indian Journalist

They say, one bad fish can dirty the whole pond. Sadly it is no different for the fastest growing Indian Community in Australia. Those who have been reading my blogs and articles would know that back in December 2010, I wrote for Menzies House that the “politicization of ethnic organizations is damaging Australia”. I made it clear there that unless we clean this rut there is going to be no change and the damage will continue. After I wrote that piece, I got hundreds of congratulatory messages from friends and unknown readers from Cyberspace. Most people were happy that I’m interested in cleaning up the system and advocating for “non-political” cultural organizations. I strongly believe that “cultural organizations” should not interfere or act as “go-to-person” for Political parties. The job of cultural organizations is to promote their culture and do things that would strengthen the relationship between Australia and their country. Any attempt to turn such organizations into political arm can and will backfire.

Unfortunately, I’ve to report that even after all this there are some people who have not changed at all and are indulging in this dirty horse-trading. I’ve been informed by a highly reliable source (who will remain secret) that a prominent politician from NSW has bought an Ethnic Indian Newspaper journalist. The Idea is to utilize his/her newspaper as a tool to disperse party political propaganda.

Unfortunately, we can’t name the politician or the “journalist” to protect our source but most readers of VoS would be aware of them anyway. This leading politician has been in news for last many months for all the wrong reasons. This unnamed politician is struggling to hold his/her position and most prominent political commentators have stated that his/her political game is coming to an end.

On the other hand, the so called “journalist” from an Ethnic Indian paper is being touted as the main culprit in this saga. This “journalist” who will also remain unnamed has lost all credibility in the Indian community. He/She is openly advertising his/her services for a fee online. Most Indian community members we spoke to have stated to VoS in private that this person is NOT a real journalist but can be best described as a Pimp for his newspaper. This so called Journo claims to be a victim of ethnic cleansing and boasts that he wants to bring justice to his people but in actual fact this unnamed person is in cahoots with those same oppressors. One person told VoS that this journo is so cheap that he/she can sell close family members for money let alone selling his community.

This is another sad chapter in NSW Politics as this unholy nexus of politician and pimps posing as journalist will never represent the real immigrant population of NSW. We, as Australians and as Immigrants should work together and unmask those who have been selling democracy like prostitutes. I hope the Indian community will realize this problem ASAP so that people of Australia can see “The Real Indian” in us instead of the “Fake Indian” that these pimps have been showing.

It was revealed at an Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) inquiry on Tuesday that Mr Chau, while working as the council’s community services manager was also working as a solicitor in his own firm, as a migration agent, and also held a taxi licence.

Corruption watchdog ICAC heard the bizarre request had come from Strathfield Council community services manager Michael Chau while meeting with a parking fine company about installing 12 parking cameras in the Strathfield CBD.

Mr Chau allegedly asked Tenix development manager Phillip Armstrong for a "favour" at Strathfield Gloria Jeans because there had been difficulties with the smooth operation of council and "we want to see a Liberal Party councillor elected".

Former Strathfield mayor turned lobbyist and NSW Young Liberal president Scott Farlow brokered a meeting between Tenix and the council to pitch the parking camera idea, but denied he knew anything about the $10,000.

In his statement to ICAC, Mr Farlow confirmed he was the agent for Liberal council candidate Helen McLucas but at the time of the meeting no candidate had been selected. Mr Armstrong said he was surprised and embarrassed at the request for $10,000."It became clear it was not kosher," he said.

During cross-examination by Mr Chau's lawyer Robert McIlwaine, Mr Armstrong denied he would give any money to his "friend" Mr Farlow or the Liberal Party, saying Tenix had strict rules about political donations and that it would not come from the Armstrong family budget.

"You were indicating you wanted him to be taken care of, because you were looking to take care of Tenix," Counsel Assisting the Commissioner Jason Downing said. Mr Chau accused Tenix's sales manager of offering a donation after Liberal lobbyist Scott Farlow told him about a looming council by-election.
"He [Tenix sales manager Phil Armstrong] said, 'Scott told me there is a problem'. He said, 'How much would it cost'?" Mr Chau told the hearing.

"I said it would cost a lot ... maybe $10,000. I just made it up."

He told the hearing that at the time he made the request he had an $800 credit card debt and legal fees of more than $5000. But he denied that the $10,000 request was for his own benefit.
Mr Chau said he was not a member of the Liberal Party.

Council official sought $10,000 'favour'

A SENIOR official from a Sydney council allegedly tried to solicit $10,000 from a parking camera company to pay for Liberal party election material.

Strathfield Council community services manager Michael Chau allegedly asked for a "favour" to get a Liberal councillor elected at the 2010 bi-election from Tenix Solutions Pty Ltd.

During a series of sales meetings at a Gloria Jeans, where Tenix proposed parking infringement cameras in Strathfield, Mr Chau allegedly asked Tenix development manager Phillip Armstrong for $10,000 cash to pay for political brochures and election material for a looming election, the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) heard today.

Mr Armstrong told ICAC he was surprised and embarrassed at the request.
"It became clear in my mind that it was not kosher," he said.

Greens Candidate Christine Donayre Withdraws from Strathfield

Local Media is reporting that Greens candidate and Burwood Councilor Christine Donayre has withdrawn from the race for Strathfield. As per media reports "Ms Donayre has been sick over Christmas break and is not fit to occupy the position of Strathfield MP should she get elected".

There are also reports that Greens will look to get another candidate in the mean time.

1.) A big thank you to Ms. Donayre for NOT contesting Strathfield seat. She was never the right person for this seat due to various reasons. Ms. Donayre has been given ample opportunities by Greens in the past and so it makes sense to let someone else have a go.

2.) Ms. Donayre has been a complete and utter failure in this area. She stood in recent Watson Federal Constituency with the sole aim of providing preferences to ALP. In the end ALP Candidate Mr. Tony Burke won that seat - Thanks to Greens and Ms. Christine Donayre

3.) Ms. Donayre DOES NOT LIVE in Strathfield Electorate. There are approx 50,000 voters in Strathfield Electorate and so I'm sure Greens (they claim to be a major party) can find someone from here?

UPDATE 07/02/11 :- Some Greens supporters have brought to our attention that Ms. Donayre lives in Strathfield Electorate. From publicly available reports its clear that she is from Croydon Park. If you visit NSW Election Website on Strathfield http://www.elections.nsw.gov.au/profiles/district_profiles/strathfield Croydon Park is NOT part of the list of suburbs. Secondly, If one was to view the Electoral boundary Map provided on the same site, Croydon Park is shown out of Electoral boundaries of Strathfield and into the neighbouring seat of Canterbury. And lastly, Why did she run for Canterbury last time if she is part of Strathfield Electorate?

4.) Greens have exploited Immigrants for a very long time by promising to be "different" and pro immigrant when they have done nothing for Large Immigrant community present here. In Last Federal Election, Greens Leader Bob Brown openly spoke against Skilled Immigration which forms the backbone of most immigrants in this country. The Labor and Liberals did the same thing as well but it is the Greens that mostly benefit from Immigrant votes and if Greens are not "pro immigrant" and are helping ALP win election after election then Immigrants MUST NOT VOTE for Greens!

It is a very proud moment for people of Strathfield as they have been able to force Greens to change their strategy.

STOP JULIA TAX - SAY NO TO GILLARD'S LEVY

Why do politicians always exploit disasters? Its only 2 weeks since the devastating floods destroyed lives and property up north in Queensland and already Prime Minister Julia Gillard has started playing politics on this sensitive issue.

We all know that this havoc has caused billions of $$$$ worth of damage and only a big injection of cash can fix it - NOBODY is denying this fact! The problem is how do we go about fixing Queensland without causing further damage. In the last two weeks there have been lots of suggestions about the best way to get out of this mess. Apart from regular media commentators and politicians, many ordinary Australians have also given their views for the biggest natural disaster recovery. This includes yours truly in Menzies House where I suggested that we should look at our strengths then our weakness. In my piece "Let's Rebuild Australia" I urged Labor government to get rid of it's colonial mindset and export Uranium to India. It would make social, political and economic sense to do so. It is estimated that Australia can earn as much as $1 Billion out of it which is a big amount considering that Prime Minister Gillard wants to earn $1.8 Billion out of a new "Levy" that she wants to impose on all of us.

This new Levy would be a disaster and it will destroy every Australian Family. There has been such a massive backlash to Ms Gillard's BIG NEW TAX that within minutes of announcing the Levy, people from all over Australia started voicing their opposition to it online, at workplaces and even later in the evening at family dinner table. The hashtag #floodlevy was a trending topic and hundreds of forums and websites have sprung up to denounce this "daylight robbery".

They have also formed a Facebook Group which is increasing in size every minute. http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Stop-The-Levy/159080310809388 At last count there were over 550 members in this group and it is increasing rapidly. Not to forget various online polls including one run by FairFax's Sydney Morning Herald where almost 75% people were against new Levy. Even NSW Labor Premier Kristina Keneally disagrees with it. More and more people are coming out against this "Daylight robbery" and it seems Ms Gillard is not getting the message. Yesterday, she had a very bad interview with 3AW's Neil in which she repeatedly lost her cool and repeatedly called him "silly".

Readers of VoS would recall that Kevin Rudd self destruct his Political Career when he went head to head with Kerry O'Brien on 7.30 Report last year. It seems Ms. Gillard is heading in same direction and will meet same political fate.

Corruption and house prices are not the only things that are going through the roof in Strathfield. It seems crime has become a major problem and the state government has failed to address it.

This morning's paper are carrying headline which reads:-

Teenage girls attacked on Sydney train: police

A man has attacked two teenage girls on a train in Sydney's west, robbing one and indecently assaulting the other, police say.

The girls, aged 17 and 18, were travelling by train from Concord West railway station when they were approached about 10pm yesterday.

The attacker allegedly punched the older girl in the chest and head, and grabbed her handbag containing a wallet, passport and mobile phone.
The younger woman tried to retrieve the handbag, but the man indecently assaulted her, police say.
The offender left the train at Strathfield and was detained by transit officers until police arrived.

90kg of ice drug seized from Strathfield

It's the seventh-biggest haul of the drug in Australian history.

The Queensland Floods tragedy is unfolding in front of our eyes as we speak and two days ago we saw the most horrific part of this catastrophe when news tickled in of deaths from large parts of the Queensland State. Last night, major news organisations reported that Big Clive put his own resources to save people from dying. According to Daily Telegraph Mr. Palmer's Chopper rescued at least 19 people.

On the other hand, Fairfax's Sydney Morning Herald reported that his efforts led to saving 60 lives

It has also been widely reported that Mr. Palmer has lost 80 Horses including Racehorses which would normally fetch millions of dollars. If this act of saving 60 Australian lives and continuous contribution to Australian society and Australian Economy does not make Mr. Clive Palmer Australian of the year then I believe nothing else would.

Last night, while doing some online research I found an article about Strathfield and NSW State Elections 2011 . So I clicked it. That portal was "TallyRoom" - an absolute rubbish website run by a racist Greens member called Ben Raue. Since it was a "Greenie" website so I decided to leave my 2 cents on a topic that normally should be close to the heart of Greenies.

The comment I wrote there was about Strathfield Labor MP Virginia Judge and how she failed to protect Strathfield Citizens from Pollution in year 2009. I was referring to The Intermodal Logistics Centre at Enfield which is widely hated by Strathfield and surrounding Residents. When this issue came up 2 years ago, a lot of local residents approached me and others for help. It was such a big issue that even Strathfield Council was against it. Yet it went through while Labor Minister Joe Tripodi was Ports Minister!

As a result, Strathfield residents became very angry and many of them vowed to work against Virginia Judge. By posting this comment, I thought I was doing the right thing and expected that the so called Greenie Ben Raue would love it. But I was wrong and it is clear why Greens agent Ben Raue blocked my comments.

The reality is that Greens are a clone of Labor party. They are an extension for NSW Labor. Their job is to bring back lost Labor vote by pretending to be different when they are really just Labor's B team.

We all know Labor Party hates immigrants but now it is clear that Greens are as racist as Labor. A case in point is Strathfield. Greens and Labor have exploited Tamils of Strathfield for decades. When Tamils were dying in Northern Sri Lanka, Labor PM Kevin Rudd even refused to meet Tamils sitting on hunger strike outside his home. Yet When August 2010 Federal election came, Greens started pretending to be there for Tamils.

In return for all the hardwork that Tamils have been putting in for Greens, a Tamil Girl was put on no. 3 on Greens upper House Ticket. Anybody with even 1% knowledge of Australian elections know that there is no way she would have won that seat. In the electorate of Watson, Greens candidate directed her preferences towards the Labor. The same Labor who's Prime Minister had refused to help Tamils when they were dying in Sri Lanka.

Now, the NSW State Election is coming and Greens are back again. But guess who is Greens candidate in Strathfield? Its none other than same Christine Donayre who benefited heavily from the hard work of Tamils. The funny thing is that Christine Donayre does not even live in Strathfield Electorate. If Greens wanted they could have easily put a Tamil person for the seat of Strathfield.

But nah...that is never going to happen. Whether it is Pollution supporter Ben Raue or Hypocrite Christine Donayre, they are all racists and hate immigrants like us for being different.

Racists Greens & Labor supporters have alleged that I'm saying all this for my political benefit. Let me say this to the racists Labor and Greens :-

You say I'm not a good person. But then what about thousands of Chinese, Indians, Pakistanis, Tamils, Koreans and many other asian background people who live here in Sydney? Are they all bad? Why racist Labor and Greens who pretend to big supporters of "multiculturalism" doesn't give them a chance? Why?

Usman Khawaja 's first test might turn out to be his last too

Usman Khawaja's story so far.. In June 2010, Usman Khawaja's supporters celebrated when Australian selectors picked Usman Khawaja for Australia's two match Test series against Pakistan in England. At that time VoS wrote against picking Usman Khawaja and guess what? He did not play either test.

Then in November 2010 before the Ashes was going to start, Cricket Australia picked Usman Khawaja again as one of the probables for the Ashes. Sydney Ashes Test starts tomorrow and Usman Khawaja would make his debut replacing Australian Test Captain Ricky Ponting. With that Usman Khawaja will become first Muslim/Pakistani to play for Australia and probably one of very few non-white player to play for Australia in decades. The only other name that comes to mind is Andrew Symonds.

As an Immigrant from Indian Subcontinent it is a very proud moment to see a fellow Immigrant Australian excelling in his profession and making the country proud. But let us not ignore the ground realities.

1.) Australia is facing its worst Ashes defeat ever and is banking heavily on tomorrow's test. A win is a must. Players are nervous and most would rather not play tomorrow's test. History is witness that an Ashes defeat and that too at home is never forgiven. It's no surprise that Ricky Ponting has bailed out at the right time leaving the sinking ship in the hands of Michael Clarke and young boys Michael Beer and Usman Khawaja!

I can already imagine the newspaper headlines in England, Australia and around the world after the Ashes Urn will be lifted by English at SCG. British Press will go for kill and Australian media will show no mercy! It will be Australia's biggest humiliation on a Cricket field for long time!

If Usman Khawaja fails tomorrow then he can surely say goodbye to Test Cricket forever. A century would make him a hero, a 50 would mean he would be picked as a probable again. Anything less than that would mean nobody will talk about him and a duck would mean he is finished forever and ever!

2.) Weather will play a huge role in this Test match. Showers have been predicted for most of the match. It has not rained in Sydney for a while and temperatures have soared. As a Sydneysider, I can safely say that it usually pours after a stretch of long hot days. If the rain comes (and trust me it will) Australia will have no chance of winning the game and leveling the Series. In fact some people are hoping that it will rain as that is the only thing that might save Australia from losing another match. Rain would mean disruptions and that would be bad for Khawaja's Cricketing future.

3.) Next Test match. There is no other test match slated after SCG Test untill August 2011. There are reports that Australia will tour Bangladesh after World Cup 2011 but nothing has been confirmed. After the Ashes, Australia will play ODI's against England and then Travel to India for World Cup. Then there are some more ODI's, 20-20 and IPL but no more test Cricket. This would go against Khawaja's future chances. He would hardly get much chance in rain predicted SCG test and by the time next test match will be available Ricky Ponting will be back and most people would forget about Khawaja.

It is highly unlikely Ricky Ponting will retire even if he is stripped off Captaincy. Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman and Ricky Ponting are more or less of same age but neither of them will go untill they are dropped but no selector has guts to do so as all these men have impressive stats next to their names!

Therefore it is very important for Usman Khawaja to play well tomorrow and get at least a 50 to stay in contention for future games. Any failure tomorrow would mean he will never play another Test ever. For Usman Khawaja's sake, let's hope that Khawaja bats well, that it doesn't rain much and that Australia win the last Test and retain its Pride!

NSW Labor hates Indians!!

Ever wondered why RACISM issue never goes away? It's not because all Indians are stupid or all Aussies are racists. It's because there is a very bad organisation called the Australian Labor Party which in NSW is known as a "disease". This is the same organisation which makes it to newspaper headlines almost everyday due to endless indiscretions of its MP's. From rotting electoral expenses to installing puppet premiers, Labor Party is never far from a scandal.

NSW Labor 'disease' is such a massive problem for the people of NSW that it had to forcefully push out 20 of its own MP's in order to bring some sanity. Every poll and every credible news organisation has rightly predicted its demise come March 2011. But despite that Labor has refused to learn its lessons.

This morning news spread out that Premier Kristina Keneally has blocked probe into power sale by closing parliament. This is a massive blow to the system of transparency and people all over state are crying foul. Then came news (all in same day) that Planning Minister Tony Kelly has accused his cabinet colleague Eric Roozendaal of handing stretches of Sydney Harbour to the wealthy owners of waterfront properties.
But this is not all that is making news today.

Another serious issue is brewing in Western Sydney which you will hear more about soon. The seats of Parramatta and Toongabbie have been in news recently. Parramatta was in news because sitting Labor MP Tanya Gadiel has decided to quit and Toongabbie because sitting Labor MP & former Premier Nathan Rees was almost certain to lose a rank & file pre-selection brought by Indian Origin Lawyer and migration officer Mr. Susai Benjamin. Mr. Benjamin has been a loyal servant of Labor Party for 20 years and has massive support in the large Indian community that makes up Toongabbie. Most people in the electorate of Toongabbie feel that a rank and a file pre-selection should have taken place to know who is the most popular candidate.

But despite that Labor has decided to go ahead and install Nathan Rees as Toongabbie candidate through its National Executive. Its not that Nathan Rees is unpopular among Indians but the fact of the matter is that the candidate for Toongabbie should have been picked through a democratic process and not by installation. In some of his latest interviews, Mr. Benjamin had declared that he might run as an Independent if he is mistreated once again.

We, at VoS sincerely hope that Mr. Benjamin will keep his promise and smash Racist Labor Party. On the other side in Parramatta, Labor has installed Pierre Esber who is very unpopular among large Indian community present in Parramatta area. It is said that even in Parramatta a rank and file nomination would have pre-selected moderate Labor councilor Julia Finn instead of Mr. Esber.

It is clear that Labor has not learnt its lessons and continues to crush popular voice to run its racist agenda. Labor party is the no. 1 reason why Australia continues to be branded a "racist" country and this tag will NEVER go away unless Labor is defeated everywhere.

The drama surrounding wikileaks has been going for over two weeks. It has touched every country including Australia. It was clear, that in the case of Australia, every leak had one common factor i.e.Kevin Rudd and his strange style of diplomacy.

But the problem is Rudd's action reflect badly on Australia and hurts our position overseas. I saw this and decided to counter it by exposing Rudd in a piece written for leading Conservative website Menzies House.

Right after my piece Sack Kevin Rudd went online on Friday, Paul Sheehan from FairFax came up with "Let's Vote Kevin Off the Island" on Monday. And this morning Australia's most prominent journalist Andrew Bolt said "Sack Rudd Now" on his blog. It is said that Andrew Bolt's blog is the most popular political blog in Australia.

Whether it's Andrew Bolt from Melbourne or Paul Sheehan from Sydney Morning Herald or for that matter yours truly from Strathfield, the fact of the matter is that Kevin Rudd is a HUGE problem for the country and he must GO!

But that does not mean Virginia Judge and her brand of crooks should be allowed to make fun of Immigrant community in Australia!

Virginia Judge is as dumb as Britney Spears?

The thing is, as elections approach, Virginia Judge is scared of immigrant backlash. It is no secret that Labor party has mistreated immigrants for last 15 years. This has made Labor and Virginia Judge desperate and they are willing to put out any rubbish without even checking whether it makes sense.

As reported on VoS few weeks ago, Virginia Judge's photo was missing from this ad that was published in ethnic papers recently. It seems in order to counter that, Ms. Judge decided to put one of her "Community News" propaganda pamphlet. On the back of this flyer, there is a small article on Diwali with a huge Virginia Judge photo (in a saree for propaganda purpose)

The problem it seems is in the 4 lines that accompanies it. It states :-

Virginia Judge recently hosted a Deepavali celebration at Parliament House. Deepavali is a Hindi festival signifying the regeneration of life, the renewal of hope and the start of the Hindi New Year.

Now, firstly, we would congratulate NSW Parliament for celebrating Deepavali or Diwali as it is widely called. But we are very sorry to say that once again Virginia Judge and Labor Party have shown their ignorance and arrogant attitude towards the Immigrant Indian community in Australia.

The fact of the matter is that there is no such thing as "Hindi New Year" or "Hindi Festival" for that matter. The word Hindi means Hindi Language which is spoken by many people including allegedly by Ms Judge. The phrase "Hindi Festival" would mean some kind of literary function on Hindi Language.

The word that Ms. Judge should have used here would be HINDU which signifies Hinduism and its adherents.

Virginia Judge and the questionable flyer

This issue might seem minor to some people but it has wider implications. It proves that Labor party is arrogant and ignorant when it comes to Indians and issues relating to Indians. The real problem that Labor party continues to ignore is that instead of dealing with REAL INDIANS, Virginia Judge and Labor hacks continue to liaise with those who "look" Indian but are not representative of Indian community in any way or form. Its like having Japanese people represent China in Australia. I don't think Chinese people would like that! These mistakes are bound to happen because the people with whom Labor government is liaising on Issues relating to Indians are NOT Indians in the first place. Imagine if an Australian with no knowledge or connection with France was put in charge of dealing with French related issues just because that person liked "french fries". This is exactly what is happening in Australia and it will have far reaching consequences.

Fiji-Indians, Bangladeshis, Sri Lankans and people from other parts of the world might look like Indians but they are NOT Indians. Instead of dealing with REAL INDIAN community which is the fastest growing community in Australia and making headway all over the world, Labor Party and Virginia Judge continue to support those who have no clue about India.

This is very typical of Labor party; a party that is inherently racist and intolerant of other cultures.

We have seen in the past that the Indian media has accused Australia of being racist after the innumerable attacks on Indians in Australia. This has damaged Australia's credibility all over the world. The fact of the matter is that in all such places where racists attacks on Indians took place, Labor party was in power and in each of these cases the people who were liaising with the government on Indian communities behalf had no real credibility in the Indian community. Most of these "representatives" are Labor party hacks and have no real ties with India.

This is precisely why the issue of Racism will never go away because Labor Party is just not interested in talking to the REAL INDIAN Community. At VoS, we can only hope that Labor will get this message and change their attitude before its too late for them!

Trojan DA "Whispers" hit Strathfield Council

After a lull for several months, the last Strathfield council meeting for the year turned out to be quite explosive. VoS was tipped by local contacts, some serving councilors, an ex councilor and members of local media to attend this meeting last night.

A steady crowd of 40-50 people descended onto Strathfield Council to attend this meeting. Outside the Council, Ex councilor Danny Lim was handing out flyers holding his trademark sandwich board sign.

The real reason why so many people had turned up to this meeting was due a property in Question that has recently submitted a DA to Strathfield Council.

Property no. 110 Homebush Road, Strathfield is only meters away from Strathfield Council. As per media reports this property was recently sold after being on market for a while. 110 Homebush Road is a heritage listed property and therefore in practical terms very hard to be developed due to planning rules. This is exactly why many people around Strathfield believed it remained on the market for a while. Ultimately it was sold for about $1.9 million.110 Homebush Road is indeed very big piece of land and is one of the biggest in comparison to the neighboring properties. It is believed that Danny Lim organised the crowd to attend the above meeting and register their protest. The DA for this property is on Exhibition and can be accessed online from Strathfield Council website here

The DA Plans for this property specifies that the owner wishes to convert the premises from a residence to a child care centre catering for 30 children. The cost of works has been estimated by the applicant to be $200,000.

But one of the letters that is being circulated around says that " There are also a large number of competition of other commercially run childcare centres - on Homebush Road (next to South Strathfield Primary School) and also up on Liverpool Road, South Strathfield (near the Bowling Ally) that are both relatively new and understood to be still struggling to gain Children to care for. It is hard to understand the commercial motive of the applicant....It is hard to see how the proposed use is in line with serving greater good...

The letter then goes on to state " The only inference that can be gleamed - is that this proposed application is a "Trojan Horse" DA....There is much talk in "Chinese Whispers" that across the road on the opposite corner - there was a push to propose a Mosque."

The use of word Mosque in Strathfield has generated a lot of interest in the past and continues till date. While there is no Evidence whatsoever that a Mosque could be created on that property, a lot of residents have started questioning this DA.

Quite a few Strathfield Residents have approached Voice of Strathfield and questioned the commercial motive of the applicant and the need for another Childcare Centre. These issues need to be resolved by proper process in the Council and there is a need for restraint from all sides.

Angela D'Amore : Labor Party's pride!

Don't even know where to start. This morning, news spread out that Drummoyne Labor MP Angela D'Amore has been found guilty of engaging in corrupt conduct. This is not the first time a Labor MP has been found guilty of engaging in corrupt practices. Remember Karyn Paluzzano? The only assumption we can make out of all this is that Corruption is deep rooted in Labor Party. I mean this is not the only Labor Corruption Scandal of the day. NSW Federal Labor MP Craig Thomson started the day with allegations of him using Health Services Union Credit Card to pay for the services of Sydney Escort Services.

For how long the people of Strathfield and NSW tolerate this nonsense? Corruption it seems has become endemic in our culture. There is hardly any institute left that has escaped it. Just have a look at our various Councils in the area. Just search online about corruption scandals that have occurred in the past and you will know why Life is becoming so harder for us here in Sydney.

Is Virginia Judge no. 19 for NSW Labor?

With the announcement of Frank Sartor to not contest next state election; the number of Labor MP's to quit has mounted to 18. We, at VoS would have loved to hear the same from Strathfield Labor MP Virginia Judge but unfortunately we are not so lucky (yet)

Till date, there has been no "official word" from Labor on who would contest Strathfield seat but the speculation is rife that it might not be Virginia Judge afterall.

First, there was the ad which did not feature Ms. Virginia Judge and then there are mixed reporting coming from the press. In one of the articles by local paper Courier dated 25th November 2010, there is a reference that Ms Virginia Judge will attempt to keep her seat but then very next week there was this headline (see picture below)

Has Labor picked its candidate for Strathfield 2011 Election or not?

Not to forget that only two months ago, Ms. Virginia Judge was in news for putting her house on market and separating from her husband. If these latest news reporting are to go by and the fact that almost every organisation has declared a Labor annihilation at the ballot box on 26th March 2011, it is quite possible that Ms. Virginia Judge might not contest the next state election after all. VoS would specify that as mentioned above, there are no "official statements" anywhere to confirm this. But this is the impression we are getting from the above reports.

If Ms. Virginia Judge decides to quit Strathfield seat for good then VoS would welcome that announcement. It would allow new people to also get a chance and make a real difference in the community! Strathfield has suffered far too long under Labor and Ms. Judge and it is time for the new generation to have a go.

Big disappointment from Big Parties!

NSW state election is slated for March 26th 2011. All the 3 main parties Labor , Liberals and Greens have started pre-selecting candidates. According to local paper Inner West Courier, in the Electorate of Strathfield, Liberals have pre-selected Charles Casuscelli, greens have pre-selected Christine Donayre and Labor has pre-selected sitting MP Virginia Judge* ( *Please note that Virginia Judge's name for pre-selection was confirmed or appeared to be confirmed by local press few weeks ago but now it seems that Labor has not "officially" declared her name.)

I'm quite disappointed with all the 3 parties. I've always maintained that Labor, Liberals and Greens are inherently racist and this pre-selection is a perfect example of it. Have a look at the Area which makes up Strathfield Electorate and you will find very high population of people of Non-Caucasian, Asian/Indian background. How do I know this? Because I live here and know my area well.

The reality is that Asian/South Asian population is so high (and increasing) in Strathfield Area that sometimes its hard to tell whether we are in Australia. But then, just have a look at the local MP's for state or Federal Areas (Watson, Grayndler & Reid constituency) and you might think that may be there is nobody from Asian background in this area.

This is called Discrimination and nothing else and it will hurt our country Australia more than anything. You can't have a united country if certain sections of society are completely ignored when it comes to political representation - Remember Apartheid?

Dear Editor,

The decision of Liberals and Greens to preselect candidates that don’t even live in Strathfield Area shows how much these two parties really care about people of Strathfield (Liberals and Greens look to take Strathfield, Courier, November 16) Charles Casuscelli is from Five Dock and jumped into politics this year after all the hard work done by grassroots level workers including myself. In the three years that I spent with Liberals I never saw him even once anywhere. I’m glad that I’ve left the Liberal Party and become Independent.

On the other hand Greens candidate Christine Donayre lives in Croydon Park and once again lives out of Strathfield Area. I very strongly believe that she is contesting this seat to provide preferences to Labor just the way she did at the time of August Federal Election.

If Ms. Donayre wants to favor Labor Party then that’s her choice but I hope she does not rant about “reneged deals” at the end of March State election. The fact that all three big parties have decided not to put a non-Caucasian candidate shows how much they care about equality and equal representation. The electorate of Strathfield is teeming with Asians and South Asians and yet we don’t get any representation anywhere. If this is not discrimination then I don’t know what is. Shame Labor, Liberals and Greens!

I wrote this article because I strongly believe in these issues and felt that I should do something about it. Those who know me, know very well that I'm kind of person who likes to take up challenge head on then just complain in the luxury of friends.

In fact, if you have a look at the little article published by a local newspaper here http://dimpto.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/Mark-in-burwood-Scene.jpg you will find that's what I said some time ago. " I want to fix the system instead of complaining about it."

I strongly feel that the debate surrounding same-sex marriage and Carbon Tax is corrupted. I feel the present day government has lied to us to win an election and that these lies can be very costly for the common people. I want to fight against Gay marriage and Carbon Tax and I'm proud of what I believe in.

But clearly this is not going well with Left Labor- Greens Communist alliance and their supporters. A quick look at the said article shows how every comment on the page is against me. After reading such venomous comments by Greens supporters, some of my own supporters commented on my article to show some support for me but up untill now they have not shown up on the site ( over 24 hours have passed since then).

This is the real face of racism in Australia; the real face of Labor and Greens supporters. I find these two organizations to be most racist of all political groups and I would encourage other immigrants to also come forward and speak against the hypocrisy of Labor and Greens.

Immigrant bashing is back in Australian Media

After a lull of few months, the ugly head of Immigrant bashing has started showing up once again and it is no surprise that it is being led by FairFax's Ross Gittins. According to SMH, Ross Gittins is their economics editor! Those who have followed my election campaign would know about my special views on this not-so-gentleman. I very strongly believe that Ross Gittins is a lying racist man. Lying because he always tries to use some nonsense to justify his hatred for immigrants. Let's 1st have a read of what he is saying today in Sydney Morning Herald's Opinion page.

The Economic Case against more Immigration screams the headline on National Times website. I don't have time to write up a conclusion for it but as the headline suggests it is all about "how bad is immigration". You don't have to take my word for it. Just read it yourself and make up your own mind.

Anyway, lets come back to the main issue of this article and many previous articles and TV appearances by Ross Gittins. At the time of Federal Election, this same so called Journalist continuously attacked immigrants and blamed us for every conceivable problem in Australia. If the Roads are jammed then its because of immigrants. If the Trains are packed then its because of Evil immigrants like us. He used self serving stats to prove how bad Immigration is. The best part of this whole propaganda was to tie it with "sustainability" and this was further flamed by the likes of Dick Smith. The same Dick Smith who lives a life of luxury, flies around in Helicopters and then tells us how bad global warming, population growth and immigration is for Australia. He also told us how he realized about the dangers of extra population from his daughter, who , by the way has already popped out 3 kids at the last count.

Ross Gittins is a well known Immigrant basher

After Ross Gittins and Dick Smith showed the way on dangers of Immigration, politicians like Julia Gillard, Tony Abbott and Bob Brown followed suit. Nobody raised the question as to what Liberal Party in Canberra and Labor Party in Macquarie Street was doing in the last two decades? Nobody asked them as to why they didn't build the infrastructure for a growing Australia. Very conveniently all the blame was pushed on Immigrants.

But truth can't hide for much long and as I predicted, the government has started accepting that we need more immigration and that the population can never be controlled.

But this is not acceptable to Ross Gittins who has worked so hard to keep the bloody immigrants out. So now he has come up with this new theory of how "taxes will increase" if we take in more immigrants.

The reality is that Australia needs more immigration for a variety of reasons.

1.) We are a growing nation and a modern nation, where women are not always prepared to stay at home and raise kids. This would lead to a shortage of workers.In a situation like this you need "outsiders" to work and make up the shortfall in Labor market.

2.) We also need immigration to keep interest rates down. Interest rates are going up and they will keep going up further. Wayne Swan and his cronies in media say that Interest rates are up because we are doing really well. But we all know that we are NOT really doing that well so how come inflation is going up?

Inflation is going up because there has been a wage rise for those who already have job-skills and are in demand. For e.g say there is a plumber who use to charge $50 for a job when he faced competition from immigrant plumbers would now charge $100 for same job as we cut down immigration. These types of increases will increase inflation but it wont raise real wages for most in the community. When inflation goes up, the RBA has no other choice but to increase interest rates and this is exactly why interest rates are going up and they will keep going up.

Cuts in immigration will not mean more people will have jobs, it will only mean that the people with required skills will be more in demand then those who don't. Those who have no skills or limited skills will still find hard to get a job. Its not that Indians and Chinese are stealing your jobs. Its the bloody government which is responsible for this mess because they never gave you proper skills in the 1st place.

3.) We also need skilled immigration because we live in a Globalised world. Australia has a tiny population with so much land. Australia can't just turn around and say "sorry we are full" when clearly we are not. Let us be practical and realistic. If every country starts closing doors to each other then soon we will turn ourselves into another North Korea or Cuba?

Apart from above there are millions of other practical reasons why we need Skilled Immigration. Unfortunately, journalists like Ross Gittins and Millionaires like Dick Smith can't see us beyond our skin color and will continue to oppose us even when clearly it will hurt Australia more than anything!

Usman Khawaja should play Sydney Test

A few months ago, right here on Voice of Strathfield, I wrote that picking Usman Khawaja was a bad decision.

That article went viral and was read by Cricket fans and commentators all over the world. In fact, when I did some of my own research I found it to be second most popular on Usman Khawaja in Google.

As a result of me writing that article, I was abused by people of all persuasions. Of course, there were Pakistanis who were not happy by my allegedly "biased" article against a Pakistani and then there were Indian Cricket fans who were disappointed that I'm writing "against" a young talent.

Let me just say one more time that I stand by what I wrote in June 2010 on the eve of Australia's Test series against Pakistan in England. I don't believe I'm against Pakistani-Australian Usman Khawaja. I gave my reasons then and I stand by it 100%.

Having said what I said in June 2010, I, Now do support his inclusion in Australian Cricket Team and hope he makes his debut in front of his home crowd of Sydney.

I know most of you are thinking what has changed since then?

6 months have passed on since I made that comment and in those 6 months a lot has happened. The fact that Usman Khawaja was included in Australian Test Team and taken to England itself is a big change. Spending time with rest of the team in a foreign land and under media spotlight would have given Khawaja lots of confidence and understanding of how to handle pressure at Elite level.

The fact that he was taken there and was not given a chance also means that Usman would understand the importance of "earning" a baggy green, something which is so close to the heart of Australian Cricketing Community. It took ages before the likes of Michael Hussey and Stuart Mcgill made it to the Green and Gold Army.

Australia is a conservative cricketing nation when picking sides and it is no different for Mr. Khawaja.

The other important factor that goes in the favor of Mr. Khawaja now is that in the recent past Australia has not done so well and so a change would be a good thing. All these are Cricketing reasons and so Mr. Usman Khawaja's inclusion is not such a bad thing. But including him in the side just because he is a Pakistani Muslim that would create media hype is wrong and should be avoided at all cost.

I hope to attend the Ashes in Sydney and would love to see Mr. Khawaja opening batting for his adopted homeland of Australia.

These politicians are indeed doing everything in their capacity to undo all the economic and social reforms of the last decade. But it will be a waste of time if we spent our entire energy targeting them. Instead of that it would be more productive to focus on their hidden agenda.

The recently concluded Federal Election was fought on issues of Cost of Living pressures and mounting government debt. There was no talk of Carbon tax, Gay marriage and Euthanasia. While it is still reasonable to debate the issue of Euthanasia, raking up issues like Carbon tax and same-sex marriage is a complete fraud on the Australian people.

Brazen Attack in Strathfield

A brazen robbery attack took place in Strathfield last night. Just after 11 p.m., I heard loud screaming of a woman from across the building. It sounded like she was pleading for help. I opened the window to see what was happening. I saw few people running towards Russell Street and then a loud noise of a car trying to speed up.

It seemed like someone was in need of assistance so I grabbed my phone and keys and rushed downstairs to see what was going on. By the time I reached the scene there was a crowd of 15-20 people. Almost all of them were immigrants and most looked Indians. An Asian woman from Granville was sitting on the short wall-fence of no. 45 Russell Street and was crying profusely. She was clearly distressed and in need of assistance. 45 Russell Street is NOT victim's address. Its a block of land with 10's of Flats just like rest of Russell Street which has 100's of flats all through out the street.

I asked those already present as to what had happened and they told me that she was sitting on the corner of Russell Street and The Boulevarde with a friend when she was attacked by unidentified man who tried to steal her purse and other belonging. I asked the people whether anyone had called Police and most replied in negative.

So I called 000 and explained all the above to the operator and gave my full details for any future inquiries about the incident. The operator told me that he could see that another call in relation with same incident had just been made and the Police was on its way.

After that I went back to the woman and asked whether she needed any medical assistance. I told her that we would all stay there untill Police arrive and that she did not need to worry. She declined any need for assistance and looked a bit more stable. I then asked her about the incident and she replied that her attackers looked like "Lebanese". In other words, she was referring to someone of middle eastern appearance. She also said that her attackers fled in a car which had a broken door.

By this time Police arrived and took control of the situation. I informed Police that I had made the emergency call and was happy to stay back if needed. They thanked me for cooperation and asked me to leave. I followed the Police instructions and quickly broadcast the message on Twitter and Facebook hoping that someone in the vicinity might recognize the attackers or pass on vital information to the Police.

Is Virginia Judge becoming liability for Labor Party?

Have no other option but to believe that Strathfield Labor MP and Minister for Arts and Fair Trading Ms Virginia Judge is becoming some kind of liability for Labor Party.

Why?

Well..... just picked up an ethnic Indian Newspaper from my local spice shop and saw a wonderful ad in it (see the pic below). Its says ADVERTISEMENT on the top and a message from Premier Kristina Keneally. The message is to wish all those who celebrate the Diwali Festival (mainly Indians) and for the celebration of Parramasala - a Festival on South Asian Arts currently on in Parramatta. Apart from Premier Keneally, it has photographs of former Premier Nathan Rees (tucked below) , deputy premier Carmel Tebutt and even controversial Drummoyne MP Angela D'Amore. In all there are 14 Labor MP's from across NSW representing areas where there is considerable Indian population.

Clearly this ad is focused towards South Asians in general and Indians in Particular.

So far so good...but the issue that I'm most concerned as an Alert and Patriotic Strathfield Resident is that how on Earth they missed our Blondie from Strathfield?

No pictures of Virginia Judge in Saree? No mention of her "achievements"? Nothing about Diane Virginia Judge who is representing a constituency like Strathfield which has almost 50% people from overseas? A large no. of them are Indians forward slash "South Asians".

Why would an Ad focused towards Indian community featuring Premier Keneally and her fellow MP's doesn't have Virginia Judge in it?

If you don't believe me then visit Homebush, Strathfield, Burwood and Ashfield ( the 4 main suburbs that represent Strathfield Electorate) and so Strathfield qualifies to be in this above ad. But clearly it doesn't or rather the MP Virginia Judge representing Strathfield doesn't.

All media reports have suggested that Ms. Judge will re-contest Strathfield unless there are some new developments that WE, THE PUBLIC of Strathfield don't know about?

Is Virginia Judge liability for Labor?

In either case, it is clear that Virginia Judge is becoming a problem for Labor, no matter which way you see it!

If Julia Gillard had so much support for carbon tax and same-sex marriage then why did she clearly rule them out before the last election? I’m no supporter of Tony Abbott but I’ve to say this. Abbott has been ridiculed by media in the past for not keeping his word. The reality is that even if Abbott was guilty of reneging on promises made to his colleagues, he is still better than Prime Minister Gillard who has cheated on the promises she made to the 22 million people of Australia.

We are already struggling to make ends meet. Grocery, petrol, electricity, child care, mortgage, schooling etc are all going through the roof. The wages are stagnant and the interest rates are ever threatening. The last thing any Australian family wants is another big new tax. We did not vote for carbon tax then why are we being made to pay for it?

If the proposal of carbon tax was not enough for Gillard government to shock this country, now there is talk in Canberra that a private member’s bill might be on its way to discuss same-sex marriage. The ceremony of marriage might be different in different cultures but the institution of marriage is same no matter where you live. Marriage can only happen between a man and a woman. There are no “ifs and buts” or grey areas to it. It doesn’t matter whether you are Christian, Muslim, Hindu or Jew or belong to any other faith. The concept is same everywhere. Just because we live in 21^st century doesn’t mean we should destroy our way of life for delusional people. There is no possibility of any debate on this issue and it should be kept out of our sacred parliament.

Senator Bob Brown is piggybacking Labor to destroy Australia?

But despite all this, Greens are relentlessly bringing up gay marriage and attacking Australian families. Why is Senator Brown doing all this? Is it because he wants to weaken our Economy with carbon tax and destroy our society with gay marriage? Look at the consequences if Greens get their way by piggybacking Labor. Thousands of Australians will lose their jobs to offshoring and possibly even their homes. On the social front, we will become an immoral society with an institution that has kept us intact for centuries turn into a joke.

Don’t let this happen. Save our economy and save marriage!

If India gets Hockey Commonwealth Gold, Aussies will be biggest winners

Strange as it may sound the fact is, that if India wins tomorrow's Final at the Men's Hockey in Commonwealth Games Delhi, it will be the boys in Green and Gold who will be laughing all the way to the bank.

Let me make it clear that I'm NOT trying to say that Australia should throw away the match in return for $$$$. All I'm doing is pointing to a fact which is out in the public but strangely nobody is discussing it.

Those who know India well would know that India's favourite sport is HOCKEY and NOT CRICKET! Yes, you have been fooled to believe that Cricket is more popular. Hockey has been loved by Indians much before anyone knew the fine art of defensive batting. The reason why Cricket brings more moolah than Hockey is simply because of one reason and that is SUCCESS. While Indian Cricket has gone from strength to strength, Indian hockey has gone backwards.

As a result we see things like Indian Premier League (IPL), Champions Trophy T20 and other Multimillion dollar events happening in Cricket. India's Cricket board BCCI is one the richest sporting bodies in the world and one of the reasons for their success is that they have no domestic competition from any other sport in India.

Australian Men's Hockey Team Kookaburras have virtually won every competition this year. From World Cup to the famous Champions Trophy. Kookaburras are considered to be the best of the best and they have shown why. In the run up to the Final, they have not lost a single match and only conceded 4 goals in 5 matches. Tomorrow's match will be a big game. The Dhyanchand Stadium named after Greatest Hockey player ever Major Dhyanchand would be packed to capacity. It is expected that the who's who of Delhi would be there and the match is expected to attract viewers in Australia.

Australian Captain Jamie Dwyer told a leading Sydney Daily recently that he finds India to be the best place to play hockey. The excitement, noise and crowds have clearly impressed the Aussie captain. Even though Australia defeated India in the preliminary stage, last night's performance by the Indians against England would surely impact the mental preparation of the Australians. The pressure of playing under 20,000 screaming Indian fans will put a lot of pressure on the Aussie side.

If Australia wins they will add another Gold medal to their unbeatable lead (last count they had 70 Gold to India's 32) but if India wins then not only it will be a victory for men in blue but a victory for the game of Hockey. Hockey is the only sport that can defeat Cricket in the race for popularity but for that India need to start somewhere and tomorrow's Commonwealth Final is the best place. An Indian win can lead to lucrative competitions like a Hockey version of IPL. If that happens then obviously the unknown Aussie Hockey heroes would be the most sought after and the scenes that we saw at the 1st IPL player auction would be repeated in Hockey.

Australian Hockey players who earn no-where near to what Cricketers take away would become overnight millionaires and would be followed like rock stars. Indian hockey players who earn even less than their Australian counterparts would also make most of it. In the end Sport would win and BCCI's grip on Cricket would loosen.

A trade off between Cricket Supremacy and Hockey Victory? I say why not!

According to Anna, she wants to contribute to the community by putting local issues back on agenda. Maintenance of local streets and council property would be her priority. She would like to increase cycle racks at the local Train Stations to reduce traffic on our roads.

Why I called Roland Schoeman a "dickhead"

By now most of you would know who Roland Schoeman is?

If not then please don't tell this to Roland Schoeman because according to him he is a very important person and "champion" of some wimpy sport.

Ok, lets not call swimming ~~wimpy spor~~t since nobody can beat Australia in it (apart from Uncle Phelps ofcourse) but this man is perhaps the 2nd most annoying person currently on Australian Television. No. 1 being Curtis Stone from Coles "how to have Indian for under $10 ad"

So what makes Mr. South Africa Roland Schoeman such a dickhead? Well, 2 days ago there was a race on in Men's 50 m swimming event at Commonwealth Games in Delhi. Dickhead Schoeman was competing there representing South Africa. Apparently Schoeman and an English guy jumped the gun. Instead of disqualifying the two, the referees decided to start the race again.

Race started again and dickhead Schoeman won Bronze. As he came out of the pool post race he was greeted by Australian Channel 10 's dickhead Mark Howard

Roland Schoeman wasted no time and grabbed the open mic opportunity to start his 2 minute spray against the Indian Organisers.

"Its an absolute disgrace, there's a guy in the stands just shouting, shouting, shouting. Somebody like that needs to be ejected.

"It's unacceptable to be at a professional event like this and have people going on like monkeys. Someone like that doesn't deserve to be here.

"It's a joke. It's an absolute joke this event."

Above were some of the comments made by Schoeman to Channel 10 Cameras. As Schoeman show ended Australian commentator on air Nicole Livingstone went into damage control pointing that Schoeman was not being racist by referring to a member of largely Indian crowd "monkey".

I'm willing to buy Nicole Livingstone's argument that Schoeman's tirade was NOT racist but was it sensible? I don't think so. To label the whole event a "joke" just because 1 person shouted before the gun was to go off does NOT make the whole "event" a "joke".

Furthermore, why wouldn't people make noise? Its a sporting event not Mr. Schoeman's private Library that people will be quiet. When I made this fact known to Schoeman on twitter, he hit back with the following tweet which since then he has deleted but might be available on "Twitlonger" In any case I've taken screenshots of everything so everybody can read it.

This morning news spread around the world. At last count there were more than 150 news reports on this issue. No I'm NOT referring to my twitter war with Roland Schoeman but the reports of him being racist because he called a crowd member monkey.

Let me just say this for the benefit of Mr. Schoeman that Yes it is absolutely true that I've never been to a Swim meet and after this incident the chances of that have reduced many folds. It is also true that I don't know about most swimmers. But Ironically I did know who Roland Schoeman was even before this drama started.

How? well here's the trick. On the eve of Commonwealth Games opening in Delhi, Indian Cricket Team was playing in1st Test against Australia in Mohali. India's greatest son Sachin Tendulkar was in news and while searching for Sacin I came across few reports which contained Schoeman's name.

Apparently there was some swimmer by the name of "Roland Schoeman" who was claiming Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara and Michael Phelps as his idols.I found it interesting, read the whole thing and then forgot about it next day. Then few days later this "monkey gate" took place and the name "Roland Schoeman" sounded familiar.

Now Roland Schoeman is in deep trouble and being asked to clarify and apologise for his "monkey remarks". Those who know me know very well that I leave no chance to expose Racists around the world especially when it affects me directly. I was born in Delhi and lived first 18 years of my life there so obviously any racist remarks against Delhi affects me personally.

Having said that I also think that we should Give Schoeman benefit of doubt and let him get on with his life. His comments were ignorant, foolish, stupid but NOT RACISTS! This is the reason why I called Shoeman a "dickhead" and NOT Racist! Btw a question for Mr. Schoeman. How come you came 3rd? I thought you were 50 m World "Champion"??? Must be organisers fault again, isn't it?

This morning the local newspapers of Inner West Sydney and Southern Districts carried a Story about the disappointment of Korean community in Sydney.

There is a large Koren community which lives in the same area as we do. Strathfield, Homebush, Campsie, Belmore and parts of Burwood have been a favourite of Korean community in Australia. Just like some of the other ethnic communities like Indians and Chinese, Korean background people form an important part of our life.

They are running local businesses and contributing to our society by paying taxes. As most people would know, Voice of Strathfield has always supported skilled immigration and this matter was most important during Federal Election 2010. Mark Sharma, Independent Candidate in Watson Electorate which covers most of the area where Korean Community lives stated here that he supports skilled Immigration.

Now, this story from Korean community and a new report from Centre of Independent Studies which declares that it would be impossible to Stop Population Growth proves what Voice of Strathfield had been saying all along.

Skilled Immigration is a Good Thing. We have massive shortage of people. We need more people not less. Let's NOT damage Australian economy and our way of life just because Labor, Liberals and Greens want to win marginal seats. Cutting Skilled Immigration would lead to job losses and increase Interest rates. It will destroy industries and make Australia weaker.

Racism in Australia : My experience

The issue of racism never goes away. Pick up the newspaper any day (or read it online in my case) & you will always find something on that topic. In recent times it has made headlines thanks to active and strong Indian Media. Racist attacks on Indians are increasing day by day and there has been no real effort from the government to stop it. The only thing we have ever got in return from them is a "denial" and that's all.

Racist attacks on Indians and other migrants can stop if our various governments ( state & federal) and Police make a concrete effort but unfortunately they are least bothered. The politicians are not worried because it doesn't hurt their vote bank and the Police doesn't care because there is no pressure on them from their political masters.

While most would think that racist attacks occur late at night in isolated places the fact of the matter is that they have been happening continuously 24/7 through various means like Internet, Social media, Traditional media, at work and in public.

The most recent example of this would be Kiwi TV Host Paul Henry who twice made racist slurs against Indians in as many days. In an interview with New Zealand PM John Key, Paul Henry asked "Whether NZ Governor-General Sir Anand Satyanand (who is of Fiji-Indian background) is really a New Zealander? Henry then went ahead to suggest that Sir Anand Satyanand does not look or sound kiwi and that PM John Key should appoint someone who looks and sounds kiwi next time. Sir Anand is completing his term in 2011 & the current NZ Government will be deciding on next Governor General soon.

Another recent racist incident that comes to my mind is that of Young Liberal National Party member Nick Sowden who made racist comments against US President Barack Obama in April of this year. It was reported that Mr. Sowden had referred to US president as a "Monkey". Thankfully, sanity prevailed in LNP and Mr. Sowden was expelled.

At that time the Internet was abuzz that with comments like "Its all Liberals fault", "Conservatives are racists", "Young Liberals is a racist organisation" and many more on similar lines.

I do think that some form of racism does exist in Coalition parties but my own experience suggests that there is more racism in some of the other bodies. I've lived in Australia for 8 years and in all that time I've confronted racists in many different situations.

In my experience I've found most amount of racism from following groups of people. This is not a ranking table but a general opinion based on my experience in Australia.

1.) Political Parties of all persuasion- I've already mentioned coalition above. Labor or Greens are no better. In fact in my opinion they are Million times more racists then coalition.Labor & Greens were in absolute agreement in blaming Immigrants for all the problems in the recent elections and agreed to cut immigration numbers. Greens might shed their crocodile tears on "boat people" but when it comes to skilled immigrants they can put even Hitler to shame!

2.) Police- Corruption might be rife in Indian Police but racism rules in different State Police forces in Australia. I've seen, heard and experienced innumerable incidents myself to say that Racism is a huge problem in Police.

3.) Australian Media:- Racism is a way of life in Australian media. Most so called Journalists hide behind "freedom of speech" to blame Immigrants for almost everything. In recent years they have received strong rebuffs from Indian Media and since then any news report critical of India/Indians/ Immigrants is magnified 10 times and run on Front pages for weeks on. The recent Commonwealth Games coverage is perfect example of it. Sydney's leading FairFax newspaper "The Sydney Morning Herald" ran the old photos of dirty rooms in the Commonwealth Games Village under the headline "Welcome to Delhi" for a whole week even though most of the village was cleaned right after the photos were leaked. Not only that, these photos featured in the middle of almost every piece on Commonwealth Games. Any positive news from Delhi was pushed to last pages and anything negative was sensationalized and printed right on top. News Ltd. was no better but fair to say FairFax stole the show in their Anti-India campaign.

It was hard to tell whether the Herald was running sports coverage or War coverage!

4.) Homosexuals:- It might be hard to believe that a group of people who routinely complain that they are not being treated properly ( even though facts show their economic situation has gone up considerably and have strong Lobby groups in Media and Politics) are most racists of all. This might not be true in your situation but I've come across so many racists Homosexuals that I've to say the way I've experienced.

The places where I've come across racists homosexuals include Work, At Shops, Public Places, Politics and of course Media. Therefore it comes no surprise to me that both Paul Henry & Nick Sowden above happen to be Homosexuals. I've discussed this issue with other immigrant Australians of Asian and Indian descents and the verdict has been unanimous. We face racist attacks ( mostly verbal or online) from Racist Homosexuals on an ongoing basis. Small arguments at shops about faulty goods or service mostly ends with Abusive threats and obscenities about our colour and where we come from. In many cases false & frivolous complaints are filled by racist homosexuals to make life harder of Immigrants.

I've wondered many times as to why so many Homosexuals are racists when they claim to be on receiving end from Conservatives. The only reason I feel that so many homosexuals are racists is because they have this attitude of "I don't care about anything and so I will be a racist".

One of the favourite attacks from Homosexuals towards Immigrants like myself is "You are suffering from Homophobia". I looked up this word and found that it means "fear of homosexual".

Let me just say this clearly that I'm NOT suffering from Homophobia. I'm NOT scared to take on any kind of racists whether they are Homosexual, Hetrosexual, Labor, Liberal, Greens, Police, Media or anybody else. I will not tolerate racism against myself or Immigrants and will fight against it whenever required.

News.com.au is probably the biggest News website in Australia and it is very sad to see that they are openly fooling Aussies and creating anti India feeling over Commonwealth Games 2010.

The front page of their website reads:-

The same story also ran on The Sunday Telegraph website and I believe that they probably published in the print edition too. On the online edition the Headline is "

There are many warnings on the Smart Traveller website but not a WORD about Flags or Aussie colours of Green and Gold. In the story a man by the name of Roger Henning is advising us "not to fly the flag" but I've no reason to believe that Mr. Henning represents Australian Government. This is a major blunder by News Ltd.- The company which runs News.com.au because wearing national colours and waving National Flag is a very emotional issue close to most people around the world. It would be impossible for any government to make such suggestions. Few years ago Indian Government wanted to ban the National Flag from Cricket Games as they believed it would mount to "disrespect". It led to widespread opposition and a court case. Ultimately Indian Government accepted defeat and made it possible for all Indians to fly the Flag.

I've no doubt that Australians are as much passionate about their flag and there is no reason for them not to to wave their Flag at Delhi Games.

My only advice to aussies is to look beyond the headlines and see all the positives at the games. India is the largest country of Commonwealth of Nations. If these Games fail it would ultimately be bad for all of us. Yes there have been problems but it is NOT the End of the Road!

What media is not telling you about the Commonwealth Games Delhi 2010

It is true that these Games have been a PR disaster for India and Delhi up until now. It is also true that the preparations have not been as good as they should have been. But one thing that is a definite lie is that the games are so bad that they should be canceled.

Brand new Airport in Delhi

Sections of media in western countries like Australia, New Zealand, Britain and Canada were absolute right in pointing out the flaws of the Delhi Organising committee. In fact, Indian newspapers took the lead in that regard and shamed the government before any one else.

But to say that Delhi is a complete failure and not capable to handle anything is just absurd. A lot of money and preparation has gone into these games. Some sources say close to $6.6 Billion were spent on these games. In comparison Melbourne only blew $1 Billion on 2006 Games.

Now, I'm not suggesting that spending more money means better outcomes. All I'm trying to say is that since 2003 (When India won the bid) many new developments have taken place which are all part of the wider Commonwealth Games planning. For e.g Delhi now has a world class airport which is 5th largest in the world. Few years ago the Indira Gandhi International Airport at Delhi looked like a Bus depot but now it can beat most airports in Asia-Pacific.

Delhi Metro has a service every 4 minutes

Delhi always suffered from lack of quality public transport and so in 2003 construction started for Delhi Metro. I've travelled in Delhi Metro many times and can say this with my hand on my heart that it is million times better than CityRail in Sydney. This would have never happened had it not been for Commonwealth Games. Apart from that many new malls have opened up in Delhi. The most famous and Luxurious being DLF Emporio.

DLF Emporio feels less like a shopping mall but more like a Presidential palace. I can say with full honesty that I've never come across anything like that anywhere in my travel across Australia. I remember when I visited DLF Emporio on my last trip to India in February of this year. I walked into a "Designer Electronic Store" as all the other shops around were retail outlets for Fashion Designers and the Louis Vutton types. Taking refuge in a TV shop looked like a good choice but I was so wrong. As I went into this shop I was greeted by the sales person there. I was not there to shop but thought it was best to play along and so I blurted out the following "How much is this LCD"? $15,000 came the reply from the skinny sales man.
I first thought that may be it was a joke since I was the odd one there but I realized quickly that it was no joke. That is the standard pricing structure there.

Clearly a city like that can't be considered to be run down and backward as the Media would like you to believe. It is very convenient to paint the picture of India as a country of snake charmers and elephants. And that everyone in India lives in shanty towns and slums.

But the reality is that the western media coverage has always been one sided when it comes to India.I know that there are still millions out there in India who live on $2 a day but there are also close to 300 million people who live in reasonable conditions just like Australia, New Zealand and UK.

By branding everyone in same situation and creating unnecessary panic will not serve anyone. I'm 110% confident that these games will go ahead and will be a success. My message to all Australians and indeed everyone in the world is to look past the bias media coverage.

India is as safe as UK. India is as prepared for Dengue as Australia was for swine flu and the chances of natural calamities in Delhi are as much as in Christchurch!

The Dirty Labor-Greens "Love" story

Does it feel bad when your own team knifes you? I'm sure it does...just Ask Kevin Rudd.

This is what I said on 24th June 2010 when Labor lunatic Kevin Rudd was politically assassinated by Julia Gillard and her faceless warlords of the Labor Party. While everyone is aware of that story another story of similar nature has been brewing in my neigbourhood which I call the "The Dirty Labor-Greens Love story".

In my opinion there is NO DIFFERENCE between Labor and Greens and I've said this loud and clear a million times before. A vote for Greens is a vote for Labor. Greens work like an extension to the left wing of Labor party. The same Left Wing which is loosing relevance day by day. And if we were to go by Media reports most of its leaders get overthrown from the stronger "Right Faction" and its policies never make it past parliamentary party meetings. Now, that is an internal Labor problem which we don't need to worry.

But what we should talk about is the "Dirty Labor-Greens saga" that is happening in Burwood. Last Monday i.e 13th September 2010 Greens Councillor Christine Donayre tweeted the following :-

Then on 16th September 2010 the local paper Inner West Courier came up with this story :-

WHETHER it was a “deal” or a “proposal”, Labor councillors have backed down on their promise to have Greens councillor Christine Donayre elected as Burwood mayor for 2010-11.

Cr Donayre said that back in 2008 Labor councillor John Faker signed an agreement to support her as mayor for the coming term.

However, at the mayoral election on Monday night, all councillors except Burwood Community Voice’s Lesley Furneaux-Cook voted to elect John Sidoti as mayor for a second term.
Cr Faker said he didn’t break any proposal and signed it on the basis that she had consulted with his colleagues Ernest Wong and Sally Deans.

Labor are going to renege on a written agreement with the Greens - because they wanted more than what any other party on Council has gotten, ie. Lab Mayor & Lab Deputy Mayor for 2011.

So what do we make out of all this? Everyone can make their own conclusions but for me the story is crystal clear. This is a story of 2 organisations that can be best described as liars and con artists. They claim to be "different" and they claim to be "true representatives" of the people but in actual fact they are just fooling Australians by having 2 different colours of Red and Green. In the end a vote for Greens is always a vote for Labor. This was evident in the recently conducted Federal Election of Watson where the same Greens Councilor stood as a candidate. Any guesses where she directed her preferences? Yes you guessed it right! The same organisation that she is now claiming "rat fu**ed" her on Mayoral Election.

It is amazing how Christine Donayre is crying foul now. It almost sounds like as if she has been knifed by her own party. Does that surprise me that her profile on Greens website states that she is an "organiser" for a Union. So here is a woman who works for Unions, supports same policies as of Labor left, directs preferences towards Labor on almost every occassion, accepts that she has done deals with Labor and then meets you on the street and says "Hi, Vote for me because I'm different from Labor"

I don't understand who Christine Donayre and Greens trying to fool? The people of Inner West Sydney or themselves? Christine Donayre you have lost all the 2 cent credibility you had to begin with. You don't even deserve to be a lamppost in Burwood Area let alone be Mayor of our beautiful City. Stop Pretending to be "different" when all you do is work as a "B" Team of the Labor Party's faceless men.

You don't care about any resident of Burwood or for that matter anyone in Australia. All your aim is to bring back lost Labor votes to Labor again. You and your dirty Greens have exploited Australian democracy so much that it is now becoming a laughing stock of the World. Those who are unfamiliar with Inner West should just have a look at another Inner West seat of REID where once again Greens preferences helped Labor win that seat even though Labor came second on Primary and suffered a massive 11.35% swing against it.

Labor-Greens Love Story Continues

The people who voted against Labor did so with clear intention of defeating them and then Voted for Greens hoping that the Greens would fight Labor but by directing preferences towards Labor, the Greens basically made sure that the anti Labor vote had NO EFFECT and in the end Democracy lost!

But does that worry your local Greens councillor Christine Donayre? No, not at all..she will have a few more glasses of scotch, get over her labor rant and would be back on the street making sure Labor Union Hacks continue to destroy Australia from the comfort of their homes.

Is it worth spending $3 million on Oprah Winfrey?

You might think what the hell is Mark Sharma on this time when the choice seems so clear? Yes, I know most people would think spending $3 millions dollars to bring World's most famous talk showhost to Sydney wouldn't be such a bad idea.

But if we discuss this issue a little bit more, look at the facts and do a real cost/benefit analysis you might change your mind. Whatever be the case, it hasn't stopped both NSW State Labor Government and Labor led Federal Government from claiming it to be a coup! They are convinced that this is the best thing to do and it will increase tourism like anything.

The reality is that the tourism industry is suffering everywhere and Australia is no different. Apart from global uncertainties and racist visa policies that the current Labor Government is pursuing (aka Visa capping bill & "small Australia") the high Australian exchange rate 93.4 cents Today (some expect it to go as high as 96 cents to US $) is hitting the tourism sector hardest. Of course we should be doing more for our Tourism sector but we must do things that will bring in actual $$$$ and not just Free publicity.

No doubt Oprah Winfrey is one of the most sought after persons in the world and many even say that her support to Barack Obama helped him win the race for the White House.

Tourism Minister Martin Ferguson says that Oprah's Tour down under would be covered by 300 of the biggest news/entertainment sources in America and her massive weekly audience of 40 million would be encouraged to follow the footsteps of their TV legend and visit Australia.

This is where my problem starts with Labor Government's belief that mere publicity would lead to more tourism. What the Labor Government is trying to do is called "celebrity endorsements" in Advertising. Like getting Ricky Ponting to tell us what brand of oil is best for our car or what is the right deodorant for sticky situations. Advertising people believe that "celebrity endorsements" work well but they only work well when there is a demand out there.

America is going through its worst crisis ever. The unemployment rate in USA is sky high and Barack Obama's approval ratings are going down like Kevin Rudd's a few months ago. Add to this the high exchange rate, terrorism and natural calamities (Floods, droughts, EarthQuakes) and the last thing on an average American's mind is "holiday in Australia".

Things have been so bad that Barack Obama himself has canceled his tour of Australia twice. In this scenario the Labor Government thinks that Americans will forget all their pain and sorrow & book a 14 hour trip to the other end of the world just because their favourite TV Anchor has decided to do same. By the way, which in her case is fully paid for by the Australian Taxpayer!

I believe this plan would be a failure and the only thing it will generate is publicity on US and Australian networks. It will not convert into tourism dollars and it will be another lost opportunity!

I believe Australia needs to get rid of its "American centric" thinking when it comes to tourism and "LOOK EAST" in Asia. Technically that would be our West but you get the point!

Instead of wasting resources to lure Americans and Europeans we should attract Asian tourists from China, India and other parts of Asian neighbourhood. These people are much closer to us (distance wise), their economies are doing much better than that of "developed countries" and they are more likely to visit us then USA due to highly restrictive American visa policies.

Instead of showing the boring old Opera House, we should hold International level Sporting events in Sydney. An Australian edition of IPL comes to my mind. Sporting events actually bring in tourists as supporters and create a real hype unlike celebrity endorsements.

I know the Labor party "advertising gurus" think that their strategies "always work" including the recently held Australian Election 2010 but they should understand that we are talking about Australian Tourism and not a $2.50 deo rollon!

What does Julia Gillard Stand for?

Dear Patriots,

It seems my article about Julia Gillard has been so popular on world wide web that I have no other option but to dish out some more. Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard is everywhere. Be it on twitter, youtube or countless forums where everyday people are discussing everything from her ears to earlobes. I recently visited an online forum where the most popular section was dedicated to Julia Gillard Jokes. Yes ofcourse there were the “ranga jokes” but there were other serious things like her speeches which most believe are written by someone else or her hairdresser partner who some people think is gay. I’m NOT suggesting that Julia Gillard’s partner Tim Matheson is gay but if you search little bit online you will find that lot of people are talking about it.

We all know that scary ears Tony Abbott is against Gay Marriage, Boat people and Malcolm Turnbull but we still don’t know anything about Julia Gillard and guess what? She is “The Prime Minister” for next 3 years!

Now that Julia Gillard has formed rainbow cabinet with Adam Bandt of Greens & Tony Windsor of (whatever he stands for) what will be Julia Gillard’s position on Atheism & gay marriage? Will she support Gay marriage to keep Adam Bandt happy? Will she get married herself to keep the Right wingers in her Traffic Light Government happy? Would she be all ears to climate change and gay marriage lobby? What will be Australia’s defence policy in relation to China and USA? What will be Australia’s immigration policy? Who will decide our foreign policy since Ruddy thinks he knows all!

Why are we not seeing more of the “real Julia” now? This is the most opportune time for Ms. Gillard to come clean.

Jokes apart, the Prime Minister must tell the nation as to which way she wants to take Australia forward? She should be out there telling us on TV and Youtube as to what will be her priorities but instead of that Julia Gillard is not talking at all. Not even on Twitter where instead of saying something she is “re-tweeting” other people’s messages. I hope her policies in the future will be her own and not “re-tweets” of faceless men!

Strathfield Council By-Election on 23rd October 2010

As per Strathfield Council website Mr. Danny Lim, the Independent councilor resigned in July paving way for a by-election to elect 1 councilor. According to NSW Electoral Commission website this by-election will take place on 23rd October 2010.

Nominations Close on12.00 Noon 22nd September 2010 (Wednesday)
Candidate Seminar at Strathfield Council Chambers on 13th September 2010 (5 PM to 7 PM)

Please visit following website to get more information about the by-election. Surprising it may sound but council election rules and regulations are much more complex then Federal Election rules in my opinion. This could be because each state has its own Electoral Commission or any other reason.
